Dr. Joseph L. Rayman,
Founder
The African Orphaned and Abandoned Children's Fund LLC

Changing Tears of Sorrow into Tears of Joy!

Vision: That not one child in Afrcia will grow up without a chance to change their lives and their country with the love of Christ.

Mission: To provide the funding and means for which the indigenous churches, organizations and missionaries may be able to reach out to the orphaned, abandoned and disenfranchised children of Africa with the love of Christ.

Dr. Joseph L. Rayman is committed to networking the American Church with the Foreign National Church and to train and equip the Church for spreading the Gospel to reach the Unreached..

In June of 2005 we started the project Operation Care for African Orphans.

Today it has grown into The African Orphaned and Abandoned Children's Fund LLC.

As I saw the horrific suffering, abuse and exploitation of the children that confronted us as I worked in Africa, I was compelled to search my heart and ask God how He desired me to respond. He answered "Feed my children", "Love my children", "Care for my children", "Cry for my children"

We have been told, and have seen, that literally tens of thousands of orphaned and abandoned children live in the streets throughout Africa. There is an estimated 43 million orphaned and abandoned children in Africa, (WHO).(15 million orphaned children in Africa as a result of HIV/AIDS, 2 million in Kenya alone!)
Seeing these children walking the streets of every village, town and city that we visited, moved us to tears. I would say that our hearts became overloaded with what we were seeing - starving, sick, wretchedly dressed, forgotten and abandoned children. Our hearts broke.
These children deserve a future free from this devastation caused by AIDS, famine, corrupt government officials, hostilities and a general feeling of apathy throughout Africa. If no one reaches out to these children they will be as fruit left to rot and wither on the vine.

There is a Housa saying; that you can refuse to listen but you can not refuse to see what will happen.

We see in Mathew 25: 35 - 40 (RSV) how we are to respond to this situation:

  • 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
  • 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
  • 37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink?
  • 38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee?
  • 39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?'
  • 40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

God has challenged us with this situation and we are asking that you partner with AOAACF and become a part of the loving, compassionate community that Jesus is forming to minister healing hope to these wounded, orphaned and abandoned children.

We are partnering with Dr. Michael and Kay Johnson, missionaries in Kenya, to assist them in getting these children off of the streets and into foster homes and schools, and by supporting existing orphanages and baby homes and partnering with indigenous churches of Africa.

Let Him use you as an expression of His fatherly love for these fatherless children.

As a sponsor of the African Orphaned and Abandoned Children's Fund LLC (AOAACF), you will be sharing the light of God's love with a destitute child now living in the streets, garbage dumps, jungles and orphanages of Africa. Your gift will assist missionaries such as Kay Johnson, an African American missionary to Kenya, as well as others such as Bishop Paul Mbugua and Dr. Andrew Kimaro of Kenya and many other native missionaries throughout Africa to:

  • Demonstrate the love of Jesus to an abandoned child by ensuring that they will receive a meal and clean clothing, medical care, an education and potentially placed in a foster home or orphanage.
  • Your donation will help to provide improvements to existing orphanages and schools, as well as build new ones.
  • Your donation will help to provide medical clinics and care, safe drinking water, and training to help these children to become self reliant and productive members of their societies.
  • You will be providing eternal hope by teaching these children that Jesus loves them and they are precious to their creator.

These children are being exploited by rebels and sex offenders. They are being tortured and raped. There is a belief that if a man that has AIDS has sex with a virgin then he will be cured. Thousands of young girls are being raped and sentenced to death by this.

In 2007 we are asking for 1000 churches or people who will partner with us in seeding a gift of $1000.00 or more to excellerate these programs and we are praying for another 1000 who will enter into a "Faith Promise" of $100.00 a month for three years. We are praying for another 1000 who will pledge $30.00 a month and another 1000 who will pledge to give as they can each month for one year. Will you prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry, either by being one of the 1000 or giving a one time donation to assist us in relieving the pain and suffering that these children are going through?

We will be shipping 40' containers with items such as cloth diapers, toys, children's clothes, shoes etc, medical equipment and other much needed items. Your donation will help to pay for the shipping, handling, and delivery of these shipments as well as much needed funding for the support of the missionaries receiving the shipments.

We will need approximately $15,000 (US) per container for shipping, handling and delivery. A single 15 X 15 box can cost 45 - 200 dollars to ship using other systems (UPS, DHL, USPO). We can ship 1000 boxes in a 40' container for about $15.00 per box!

You can be a sponsor a for as little as $10.00!.

What is your New Years resolution for 2007? What are you doing to be a part of what God is doing in the world today? Is your heart in beat with the heart of God? We sing "I give my all to you O' Lord" but when asked to deliver what do we do? Do we truly give our all or do we give what is left?

"I am not my brother's keeper"

I am my brother's brother… In the evening I shall wait for him At the edge of the river… To share the taste of bread and wine, and add to the warmth of the fire, the sound of voice…. but the shield he carries, and the trail he journeys is his own… The wounds he suffers are his to survive… The joys of the soul are his to cherish…"

These are words from a poem by George Rogers and I find them encouraging. We are not here to walk for others but to share with them our walk so that they might not get lost. Where are you going?

The African Orphaned and Abandoned Children's Fund (AOAACF) is committed to providing assistance to the oppressed, abandoned and orphaned children living in the streets and overcrowded orphanages of Africa as well as widows, impoverished children and their families. We don't want to provide just temporary solutions.

Give Hope to 50,000 Children in Africa

Too many children are standing in the rain-not to purchase tickets to the movies or to catch a bus to the mall-but waiting and hoping to be clothed, housed, fed and loved. In Kenya, there are over 50,000 children living in the streets of the capitol, alone. They wait for adults to help them. They wait for God's people to wake up and recognize the problem and do something about it. They wait and wait and wait.

AOAACF's goal is to provide good nutrition, health and dental care, clean water, education, housing, shoes and other essentials to 50,000 children in Africa.

We need your help to reach our goal.

AOAACF has identified communities in Africa where we can have a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. With your support, 50,000 or more children can be assisted to lift themselves out of the streets and poverty.

Your donation is urgently needed. You will be providing the funding to help children right now, when they need our help so desperately. --- Contact us today!
